What You Do Is So Loud That I Cannot Hear What You Say

Famous quotes that can be applied to the Obama administration:

Ralph Waldo Emerson –

"What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say."

Adolf Hitler –

"What luck for rulers that men do not think."

"The great masses of the people… will more easily fall victims to a great lie than to a small one."

"…obstacles do not exist to be surrendered to, but only to be broken." — (think U.S. Constitution for perspective)

"I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few." — ("I felt a tingling go up my leg")

"By means of shrewd lies, unremittingly repeated, it is possible to make people believe that heaven is hell — and hell heaven. The greater the lie, the more readily it will be believed."

Dwight D. Eisenhower –

"You do not lead by hitting people over the head-that's assault, not leadership." — (Maybe Pelosi, Reid, et al might want to know this too)

Ronald Reagan –

"The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'" — (The failures of government social programs)

"How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin."

"The best minds are not in government. If any were, business would hire them away." — (on the Obama administration's record low real-world experience level of 7%)

"No arsenal … is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women." — (regarding the military or tea party members)

"I don't believe in a government that protects us from ourselves."

Thomas Jefferson –

"The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive."

"Never spend your money before you have it."

"If our house be on fire, without inquiring whether it was fired from within or without, we must try to extinguish it." — (Regarding Obama's frequent use of "I inherited this problem")

George Washington –

"It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one." — (regarding "stimulus")

"Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation for 'tis better to be alone than in bad company." — (this is just too funny and obvious to add anything further!  …  Bill Ayers, Reverend Wright, Van Jones, Anita Dunn, etc….)

George Washington Carver –

"Ninety-nine percent of all failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses."

General George S. Patton –

"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity." — (a lesson for the President to take to heart)

General Douglas MacArthur –

"In war there is no substitute for victory. "

Thomas Paine –

"What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly."

SuperSparky –

"Being smart comes from soaking up untried knowledge.  Being wise and intelligent comes from testing that knowledge in the real world to gain experience."

"A free man bows to no one, but God."

"All the learning in the finest schools will never help you until you go out into the real world and realize how much of an idiot you are; then the real learning can begin."

"There is nothing that Marxism can do that a free market can do much better."

"There is nothing that preserves freedom and liberty more than a parent
educating their child.  The best way to lose freedom and liberty is
to allow the government to educate your child."

"Never has an oligarchy achieved control by telling the truth."

"Those with valid arguments and truth use facts to back them up as proof.  Those with lies use threats, hatred, vitriol, slander, distraction, libel, physical threats, and verbal threats to hide their lies."

"So my friends, when the wicked wail and gnash their teeth at you, throw hatred, lies, and vitriol at you; when the very powers of hell conspire against you, know then you are telling the truth and the truth will always prevail."

"Capitalism saved communist China from collapse."

Common Sense –

"You cannot spend your way out of debt and into prosperity"

"The treasury is filled by the people.  To take away from the people and give it to failures, is simply telling the people to save what they have left.  No economy was built by robbing from those that fuel it."

  1. maybe twenty years from now people will look back and wonder why america hired a marxist to lead the free world.

  2. [this is good] They did the same with Lenin, Hitler, Mussolini, etc.  It didn’t take long for people to forget either. The problem is not many people look back, and not many parents teach their children to learn by looking back. This is why this cycle always continues. Here’s another quote for you, “There is nothing that preserves freedom and liberty more than a parent educating their child.” and “The best way to lose freedom and liberty is to allow the government to educate your child.”

  3. i’m hearing that as soon as obama is out of office some serious attention is going to be given to private schools on the voucher system, when i was in private school and the state handed down mandated marxist propaganda, the teacher would spend about 15 seconds on it get everybody to sign off on it then go back to teaching american values

  4. and the cycle continues…. the problem is that most people don’t understand what makes an economy work.  (Nazi Pelosi)  the poeple need the control to spend the money to get the economy rolling.  that is why when regan lowered taxes the jobless rate went down.  the more money people have the more they spend.  when has giving the government the money worked out?  we have trillions and trillions of debt and yet they think making up fake money is going to stimulate the economy. the one question i have for the people that think the stimulus was good is “where does the money come from in the first place?”  “us you morons!”  the only thing i want the federal government to do for me is keep me safe from foreign threats.  let the states and local governments take care of the local needs.  (roads, police, etc)  let me decide how i live my life from there on.  all this mumbo jumbo about healthcare is only to give the goverment more control over us.  i don’t really care what party you are part of.  if you want to take my life and control it i say no!.  Obama and all the people he associates with, have time and time again shown that they want large government control to tell us what to do.  if an animal in thrown into a box it will try and get out.  this is a government box that these people are trying to make.  pretty soon all these morons who voted in obama will be in the box and then well ask “how did we get her?  i thought he said the wealth would be spread around.  now everyone is poor”   it happened in russia.  it is happening in columbia, and if it isn’t stopped it will happen here.  stop voting people in for what they say and what they look like.  vote them in for actually being smart and respecting our freedoms. this wasn’t exactly on topic but hey i am pissed about the morons in the world

  5. [this is good] Love your quotes Sparky!  But “A free man bows to no one but God” was actually the philosophy of Mordecai (from the Old Testament book of Esther).  So, you can’t claim that one!  😉

  6. That just shows you it is an eternal principle.  I’m glad he and I had the same beliefs about liberty. However, quotes are not new ideas.  They are the expressions of people, good or evil, that understand the topic and can eloquently, even simply express it in few words.  In Ester, it just says Mordecai didn’t bow to Haman.  It never said why, nor did Mordecai explain why.  Although, we can rightly assume why.I think I can still be safe in knowing I did not plagiarize anyone else in this quote.  Nevertheless, I can think of many that would have said something similar given the opportunity, and yes, our founding fathers would be included in that list.

Come on, you know you want to say something.
