You know folks, I have given the President the benefit of the doubt on many things. Now, mind you, I never approved of his policies, agenda, nor staff, but I always thought he just was different about his philosophies in life and politics. The old “Agree to Disagree” stance.
Now, in the book “Obama’s Wars” by Bob Woodward, the author claims that during an interview he had with the President, the President said, “We can absorb another terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11. even the biggest attack ever … we absorbed it and we are stronger.“, I must now realize my opinion about the President was wrong. In David Limbaugh’s book “Crimes Against Liberty” (quite possibly the most important political book ever published) he wrote extensively about Obama’s alleged disturbing narcissistic behavior, and many pages of that book were sources and cold hard facts to back it up. It was debated by cited experts in his book whether his narcissism was at “disorder” levels and that he quite possibly could be diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder or “NPD”. It was agreed by many that have either worked with him before, or used to, some even under conditions of anonymity, that he is the most arrogant and self-centered person they have ever known. With this single statement he made, quoted in that book, and his recent callous and self-centered actions, I must say that, in my opinion, he not only has NPD but it’s so bad it’s bordering on psychotic. To me, the overwhelming evidence became absolute with that single statement. It speaks volumes.
I have experience with three different individuals in my life with NPD and I have developed a sense to recognize someone who has many of the traits, but I am not a qualified professional mental health specialist. First of all, everyone has some narcissism in their lives. The religious call it “pride”. The majority of the population have narcissism under control in varying degrees, but nothing approaching the nightmare (to others) that is NPD. Seriously, NPD can become dangerous very easily, and it has nothing to do with any sort of chemical imbalance. It almost always results from upbringing and personality.
I don’t just throw accusations like this around willy-nilly, especially towards the President, no matter what his politics may be. Folks, i believe this is serious. I am more concerned about my country this evening than I was this morning.
Before I continue, let me give you some information about NPD. Here’s what the Mayo Clinic says about it:
Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by dramatic, emotional behavior, in the same category as antisocial and borderline personality disorders.
Narcissistic personality disorder symptoms may include:
- Believing that you’re better than others
- Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness
- Exaggerating your achievements or talents
- Expecting constant praise and admiration
- Believing that you’re special and acting accordingly
- Failing to recognize other people’s emotions and feelings
- Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans
- Taking advantage of others
- Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior
- Being jealous of others
- Believing that others are jealous of you
- Trouble keeping healthy relationships
- Setting unrealistic goals
- Being easily hurt and rejected
- Having a fragile self-esteem
- Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional
Although some features of narcissistic personality disorder may seem like having confidence or strong self-esteem, it’s not the same. Narcissistic personality disorder crosses the border of healthy confidence and self-esteem into thinking so highly of yourself that you put yourself on a pedestal. In contrast, people who have healthy confidence and self-esteem don’t value themselves more than they value others.
When you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across as conceited, boastful or pretentious. You often monopolize conversations. You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior. You may have a sense of entitlement. And when you don’t receive the special treatment to which you feel entitled, you may become very impatient or angry. You may insist on having “the best” of everything — the best car, athletic club, medical care or social circles, for instance.
Someone with NPD must meet five or more of these symptoms:
- Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
- Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
- Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions).
- Rarely acknowledges mistakes and/or imperfections
- Requires excessive admiration
- Has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
- Is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
- Lacks empathy: is unwilling or unable to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others.
- Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
- Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitude.
I don’t care whether you are a donkey or an elephant, Democrat or Republican, this behavior ought to scare the Hell out of you. Granted, politicians generally are more narcissistic than the average Joe, but this isn’t that kind of narcissistic. What makes NPD so serious and dangerous is the criteria “Lacks empathy: is unwilling or unable to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others”. You can have NPD and not have this aspect of it. What makes this a five alarm alert with Obama, is that I allege he qualifies for ALL of the criteria in a large and obvious manner.
Now, read this carefully, and don’t get suddenly defensive on me, but be objective. Why is Obama pushing through his agenda despite the obvious damage it not only does to the nation as a whole, but each individual and their families; and so many are extremely opposed to it? Why is it he can, with a straight face, tell you we can “absorb” another terrorist attack? It’s obvious that individual people don’t matter to him. What’s a few hundred, a few thousand, or a few million that may die in such an attack? We can “absorb” it as we have millions more left to live the dream of his father in a Socialist Utopia. The “collective” remains. He can’t be bothered with individuals and lost family members. They are just part of the process of his grand dream. He knows achieving Utopia means up to 20% of the population may die either by being at the wrong place at the wrong time, or in the way of his wonderful plan. This isn’t politics folks. This isn’t differences in political ideology. This is sick. Seriously, I don’t care if it’s a he, she, black, white, Asian, Indian, Arabic, Democrat, Republican, and party, atheist, religious or even Muslim, I would gladly accept ANYONE you offered to be President instead of him and they didn’t have NPD. Yes, this is that serious.
History teaches us what happens when such a leader is in charge. It’s their way or you’re in the way. I won’t point these others out as you’re smart enough to know.
There’s a reason why he prolongs the Afghanistan war. It’s merely to buy time to make him find a “solution” to it. Why does he give hundreds of speeches? He honestly believes in his “talent” to convince others of his superior position. Why does he go to other nations and bow and think he can change attitudes? Why, it’s his “greatness” and “awe inspiring” qualities that will just make them realize how right he is and know the errors of their ways. I’m not kidding here, he believes this folks and it’s obvious. His constant blaming of others for faults and mistakes. This isn’t just about Bush, but everything brought to him. It’s always someone acting out of line, or just not listening to him, or he needs to explain it better. He has a God or “savior” complex.
Oh my God, oh my God, who have we placed in the most powerful position in the world?
To any liberals or Progressives out their, watch your back as he doesn’t care about you either. You’re just a tool, a means to an end, and he’ll toss you aside when your usefulness has expired. He’s going to do things his way, no matter what you say to him. He’s right, you’re wrong. It doesn’t matter if you’re on his side of the grass or not. In the end, all will get burned.
In my opinion. this is evil incarnate with a charismatic smile and manner. Watch this man like a hawk, those on the left and right. To speak religiously, I do believe another sign of the times has just appeared.
