I had one of those epiphanies again. I was watching Warner Brothers‘ new Road Runner cartoon “Coyote Falls”, and couldn’t help but see a parallel to real life in it. Liberals are like Wile E. Coyote. For example:
- Elaborate and expensive ideas and contraptions that always fail miserably.
- These ideas always come from the same source. Like Wile E. Coyote using ACME, liberals use John Maynard Keynes, Saul Alinsky, and Karl Marx for their sources every time.
- The goal is more important than the damage attempting to achieve it causes along the way.
- Never focusing on the possible consequences, but only focusing on the goal. Unfortunately, for Wile E. Coyote, a Mac truck, a train, an explosive rocket, etc. bring the reality of the lack of ability to see all possible consequences into the picture. For liberals, the realities of human nature and economics seem to elude them, as they seem to think that this ACME product will work this time, and that their “super genius” will exert control over what is uncontrollable.
Albert Einstein defined insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Anyone watching Wile E. Coyote knows it is just a cartoon intended to make you laugh at the Coyote’s rampant stubbornness and stupidity. In real life, we would call such behavior insanity. Yet, this is what many people grasp on to with the empty promise of “free stuff” and other entitlements. Instead of exercising common sense and the concept that working hard and personal responsibility are what bring success and happiness, and not “free stuff” off the backs of those that are working hard.
Europe is literally collapsing in front of the world’s eyes, and yet liberals choose to ignore this Mac truck and just keep concentrating on the Road Runner. They praise the actions of a government that is completely falling apart before their very eyes, but that isn’t important. You see, they can see the Road Runner, and the Road Runner is their Utopian dream, that they will never reach ,because they will never understand why reality comes in and slams a truck into you. Their excuse? They blame it on the Road Runner and not ACME or themselves.
A Road Runner cartoon is an amazing display of liberal behavior. Chuck Jones, its original creator, was a real super genius.
This cartoon, included on the movie “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore” available at Amazon.com.
